I’m Turning 50 And I Need Your Help!

I’m turning 50 this year.

I have no idea how I feel about this.

It seems both impossible and inevitable, yet weirdly important.

It’s something that needs to be memorialized somehow.

I’ve puzzled about this for quite some time – I mean, it’s not like it’s any great surprise that this is the year I turn 50.

But just how does one celebrate such a seemingly important date?

Specifically, how do I – The Soulful Butterfly – commemorate reaching a half century in this human body on this amazing planet?

Well, I’m happy to say the how is something I’ve finally figured out!

This is what the how needs to be:
The size of my peony flowers is blowing my mind! Also, yes, this is a hint about what my birthday activities will be!

It needs to be fun.

There needs to be an element of challenge and stepping outside of the normal.

It needs to involve my people – and, yes, that means YOU!

I should be able to come up with something that meets that criteria, right?

Right! Because I did!

Even as I write this, I wonder:

Should I tell you what I’ve decided to do all at once?
Or practice a touch of intrigue and get you wondering about it?

Intrigue might take a few more steps, but they are definitely faster, and one thing this almost-50 year-old is experiencing is a lack of time with a short attention span, so intrigue it is!

Here’s what I’ll tell you for now:

This will involve my taking photographs – because that’s fun!

And we’re going to need your imagination to make it happen.

And we’re really hoping we’ll have the other bits set up in time to offer you prizes, even!

There are 2 dates we know for sure: July 22 and October 10.

More will be revealed soon.

You’re ready to help me, right? And you’re ready to learn more about what on earth we’re doing, aren’t you?

And, by the way, that picture just might be a hint…

Yay! Happy Birthday to me!
