Ripe with the Vast Mystery you dance a tempestuous display

Before the Gratitude Tarot, there was a blog. Photos You Feel: pictures and words I shared with the world nearly every day. And here is one of those posts, this one first published on August 11, 2011. Enjoy, share, feel what it has to say to you. This is exactly what led me to create the cards.

Photo of pink and green refracted through shimmering water, we stay with you woven in soul-family not by forcing our will upon your fluid nature.
in the seeking of hands…, originally uploaded by picsie.chick.

Listen to Teresa read Your Fluid Nature

you are not only
    the dulcet hues of tranquility
        your ways and days
are not all patience and stillness

you
    yes even you
being ripe with the Vast Mystery
            can dance a tempestuous display

that swamps us into awe

    your face
        your muse
            Beauty
rises beyond this surface

            your face transforming
        even as the moments change
    your nature pulling us
along these currents of your emotions

we change our stroke
            to match your pace
            bring our attention to breath
        process
    form

all in the hopes
    that this frenzy
        this flailing
    will spit us out
upon restful shores

will bring us through
    to a gentler space

it is not in speeding up
    that we stay with you
not in forcing our will upon
    your fluid nature

it is in the seeking of hands
    held wide and joined together
        soul-family woven in your shimmer

        that our hearts are filled
    to overflowing
with Gratitude

    Looks like fabric.

Once again, your photograph has touched me in a way I don’t understand! I feel the pricking of tears at the back of my eyes and a twinge in my heart. I don’t know why and I don’t know where it comes from, but I like it. Never before have I been affected in an emotional way by art. Thank you for showing me this part of me! xxx
