Pre-lit and artificial, it’s still the nicest one that we’ve seen – and we’ve really been looking these last few years since this one is losing lights at a remarkable rate!
This week I set it up.
As I pulled the nicely labeled “bottom section” from the big plastic box and carried it upstairs, I chuckled with a little bit of pride that I do it this way now.
You see, for years we would lug that huge box, with all the pieces inside, up the stairs to put the tree up.
Yup. And then I would put all three pieces together, fluff it all up and then look for bulbs that needed replacing.
It’s a big and full tree, so that hunt and all that fluffing up was such a big job! And then we’d still have to lug that huge box back downstairs when we were done!
Whew! I’m so glad I’ve learned a better way!
Now the tree comes upstairs one piece at a time. I search and replace bulbs while I fluff the bottom section before I even bring the middle section upstairs.
It’s a few more trips up and down the stairs, but the benefits are huge.
I’ve taken an unwieldy, weighty task and created a simple process that gives me the time and space to get things done well without a whole lot of extra fuss.
Sounds like a lesson for life, doesn’t it?
It’s true. I’m applying this exact same principle to my spiritual business.
I have something wonderful and new for you, and I’m building it – and fluffing it up – one piece at a time.
In fact, I’ve been working on one of the pieces all year, so next year it will be even better!
Part of keeping to the one piece at a time means not telling you exactly what it is just yet.
What I can tell you is that I’ll be making it available on December 21!
Why then? The new moon will be in my moon sign, Capricorn. That’s some good energy for a great new start right there. Yes, the sign and phase the moon is in can make a big difference to you – and it’s one of the things I’ll share with you in my new awesome thing.
Now don’t fret. You don’t need to jump this instant.
The new awesome thing starts a few weeks later on January 5, so you’ll have plenty of time check it out and join in when you’re ready.
Want to ask about it? Feel free to post a question here or over on Facebook. I just might answer you right away – or your question may be featured when I reveal the awesomeness!
