Revealed: Seven of Kindness

Seven of Kindness

Macro photo of sunlight glowing amber through sap. Gratitude Tarot card Seven of Kindness: story dancing its telling in the shimmer of weeping trees.

things known
                           and un   known
        carried in my heart
                 shattered before the story
began
        dancing its telling
                           in the shadow of remembering

the shimmer of weeping trees

         the weight of whispered threats

if this fool’s journey
                  insists upon

spiraling in upon itself

I must depend on my own eyes
         my own heart
to have changed the view

so I may flow in my own belief that

where I look, there I will go

and there are places I am determined to

not
   sink
        into
             again

Interpretation:
Things are not what they appear. The energy of stealth may be working
against you. Rely on your kindness to self to know when to trust.

What a gorgeous picture – and what a beautiful poem! I love how you are combining tarot with poetry! This is very unique and a great contribution to our field.

Why, thank you Theresa! I’m so glad you like this personal spin I’ve put on my deck. This means a lot to me!

      Hugs and butterflies,
      ~Teresa~

Is this deck available by the way?

As a poet (although not actively writing at the moment) I can really appreciate how you’ve combined poetry with intuitive guidance. A close reading of a poem is a divination of sorts, with the meaning being something that ultimately resonates with the reader.

I deeply felt “so I may flow in my own belief that
where I look, there I will go”

I needed to hear that this week!

This: and there are places I am determined to
    not
    sink
    into
    again

speaks so loudly to me…as I feel like I am just emerging from the deepest, ishiest place I’ve ever been…even though one would think, and others have judged, that I should be far beyond where I am…

I really enjoyed this post, and realized how much I enjoy reading poetry and how I haven’t done it in a very long time. Thank you for combining two of my passions (tarot and poetry) together in a stunning new way.

“rely on kindness to self” LOVE!! No matter what we’re going thru, we need to remember to be kind to ourselves. To not beat ourselves up when something doesn’t go right. It’s hard sometimes, but oh so important!!

I am echoing what Theresa said-I love the images, the poems, and how they come together in the interpretation–simply lovely!

Wow…I just love this deck and concept. So many of my clients come into our sessions with so much pain and sadness. Having the ability to show the client what they can truly be grateful for is a wonderful attribute. I look forward to adding this deck to my collection!

Thank you all for you beautiful and encouraging comments!

@dana lisa Is any of your poetry online? I’d love to have a read of it! And, yes, I totally agree – it’s what the reader feels that is most important. So glad you felt something from my poetic musing.

@marita I know the feeling….this is the part that reminds me that the entire journey is a spiral – we learn the lessons, then come upon them again with our changed view and our new wisdom. As long as we are growing the lessons are never completely the same, but are often all-too-familiar

@Hilary It’s so lovely that you are reminded of an enjoyable activity and that you like the way I’ve combined these two creative endeavours. Feel free to come on back and see the next card that I reveal through poetry…

@Lisa Ah, a treat for your eyes and heart! Who could ask for more? Do be kind to yourself, without it fulfillment will always be a long way away….

@amy Self-kindness and self-compassion are completely required to survive this spiraling journey. Thank you for knowing this and living it!

@inga So glad you have enjoyed this. It is sometimes difficult to change how we see things, but it is vital to continuing to grow.

@bri Thank you! The weaving is a particularly enjoyable part of this for me.

@courtney I’m so grateful that you like my deck and honoured that you’d like to use it with your clients! I believe there is Beauty in all things and especially small things and being able to find it can help us through the pain and sadness we all must spiral through.

Hugs and butterflies to you all!
    ~Teresa~
