Tuck and Roll

Macro photo of frost feathers against blue sky.there is more to this
more to this moment
than just this moment

more than breath
more than my senses
filled with
colour and sound
aroma and air

now is
all of the moments
remembered, forgotten
that lie in my muscles
and tissues
and heart

all that came before now
with the promise of now
that cracked me open
that pushed me skyward

now is
the thousand possibilities
the infinite paths
that open before me

the dark, the glittering
the wide open, the held tightly
the many ways
my path will promise
a whole new now

and in this now
I feel myself
dissolving into normal
denying these figments
the place they’ve held so long

I see myself
in colour and shimmer
mirth and gentleness
released from a magic
my soul clamoured for

tired from all the leaping
ready to quietly dismantle
to dispatch that dream
to the realm
of the forgotten

perhaps this path
was meant for
another heart
another lifetime

perhaps it is time
to tuck and roll
and whisper “uncle”

Just beautiful Teresa 🙂 I love how eloquently you describe the myriad paths and the powerful decision to let go. It is not an easy thing to do.

I have never seen surrender so beautifully presented. Soft, loving, and powerful. Thanks!

    Solstice blessings,
